Hi all!

Netballuxion 2009 is but 3 days away!

Final details to be out!

1) Fixtures have been mailed out to the team captains.

2) from the fixtures you can see that your game starts at whatever time, reporting time will be 1 hour before your first match.

eg: your first match is 4.30 on Sat. So you only report at 3.30 pm.

Hello all! :)

Thanks for taking time to meet us this afternoon!

I'm sorry that some of you may have missed our booth just ouside Starbucks at Raffles City. We were situated quite far off at the start of the day as we had difficulty getting a good spot.

Do look out for the "NETBALLUXION" sign tomorrow!

In addition, we'll be wearing our Netball Camp Tee Shirts this time for better identification.

If you are still unable to spot us, we've borrowed a phone line solely to receive your phone calls and SMSes for enquiries of our location. This phone line is ONLY VALID TILL TOMORROW AT 5PM. Please DO NOT call this phone line after tomorrow. I wouldn't know who will be answering the phone next!

Meet Ups For Registration!

Hello everyone!

Some points to consider:

Meet up dates. We've taken the liberty of arranging a common meet up point for those people who wish to hand in their registration forms, registration fee and indemnity forms personally instead of scanning and emailing.

Details are as follows:

When: 30th and 31st May

Where: Raffles City Shopping Centre's Starbucks. Outside area

How to Get there: MRT is the best. Get off at City Hall MRT Station and take the escalator right in front of the customer service (control station). Look to your right and tadah! Starbucks is there!

Time: 12-4 pm on both days.

We'll have a sign on the table which says NETBALLUXION 2009 REGISTRATION

Bring your whole team to sign the indemnity form though!

But remember, EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION ENDS ON SUNDAY!

Registration for Netballuxion 2009 opens today!

Registration Periods:

Early Bird: 20th April 2009 - 31st May 2009 (SGD$65 PER TEAM)
Normal: 1st June 2009 - 31st July 2009 (SGD $75 PER TEAM)

Procedures of Registration:

Download the Registration & Indemnity form HERE or email us at NETBALLUXION@NUSNETBALL.COM for it.
Fill in the Registration form with your team's details and such.
Fill up 6 indemnity forms, signed by yourself (if you're above 21) or by your parent/guardian (if you're below 21)*

Based on your preferred mode of payment, submit your form in the following format

Points to take note of (VERY IMPORTANT)

Only 1 Registration form is needed
If you have 6 team members, there MUST BE 6 INDEMNITY FORMS, signed and witnessed
For all teams who have members younger than 21 years old, they MUST submit to the Netballuxion Committee DIRECTLY (i.e. Through Meetup ONLY)
For the 19 and below Catagory - you must be at most 19 on 1/1/09
At all times, only 1 National Player is allowed on court
For the Mixed Catagory, only 2 Males are allowed on Court, only 1 Male is allowed in the semi-d

Netballuxion by NUS Netball Club is our annual public netball tournament which we have been organizing since 2002 to create a greater awareness of the sport. We hope to promote netball as part of a healthy and active lifestyle for both women and men in Singapore. It is a platform to encourage the general public, educational institutions and elite netball league teams to hone their skills.

Game: Street Netball
Number of players: 6 inclusive of 2 substitutes per team.
Categories: Under-19, Ladies Open, Mixed Category
Fees: $65 (early-bird), $75 (normal)

Frequently Asked Questions

1) Qn: How many catagories are there?
Ans: There are three catagories. Mainly: Ladies under 19, Ladies Open and Mixed Open.

2) Qn: What are the general rules & regulations for 4-0n-4 Netball?
Ans: 4-0n-4 Netball speaks for itself. Instead of the usual 7 per side netball, 4-0n-4 netball is played on half court, Street Netball style. Only two players from each team is allowed inside the semi-d. Also, the ball must be passed to the center third after a change of possession. 3) Qn: What is Netballuxion 2009?
Ans: Netballuxion 2009 is an annual street netball competition organised by the NUS Netball Club. It's a competition open to the public. Netballuxion was created with the main focus of educating the public on Netball and it's rules and also providing a platform for netball enthuists to shine. Registration opens 20th April 2009. Sign up early to avoid disappointment!

4) Qn: When is Netballuxion 2009 held?
Ans: Netballuxion 2009 will be held on 15-16 August 2009.
15th August 2009 - Preliminary rounds, round robin format
16th August 2009 - Finals & Mixed Open Rounds

5) Qn: Where will Netballuxion 2009 be held?
Ans: This year's Netballuxion will be held at Velocity @ Novena Square.

6) Qn: When will registration be open?
Ans: Registration opens 20th April 2009. Our Early Bird Special is available from 20th April 2009 til 31st May 2009. For more details, click here! or click Registration on your right (:

7) Qn: How many players in one team?
Ans: Only 6 players are allowed to be registered in one team. 4 on court, 2 subs.

8) Qn: How many male players can I register in a team?

Ans: Any team can register a maximum of 4 male players. However, only 2 male players are allowed on court. And only 1 male player is allowed in the semi-D

9) Qn: What are the shirt sizes?

Ans: Shirt sizes will be determined after registration as we're still trying to obtain shirt sponsors.

Rules & Regulations

Please read the following rules & regulations before signing up.
By signing up, you would be deemed to have read and agreed by the following rules.

The tournament shall be conducted in accordance with the Tournament Rules and Regulations of Netball Singapore.

All matches will be played with duration of 10 minutes.
No injury time will be given, thus substitution must be made immediately.
One substitution is allowed after each goal scored subject to a maximum of 3 substitutions per game.
The siren will only set timing for the start of the game, change ends and end of the games.
The Umpire’s whistle will start and end the game.
The players will not play in a fixed position (E.g. GS, C, WD etc).
Any two players from either team are allowed in the goal circle at any one time. Free pass is awarded to the opposition team on the inner edge of the goal circle for violating the rules.
Teams will take alternate center pass.
When possession of the ball is changed at the goal third, the ball must return over the transverse line before the team may attempt to attack. However when possession of the ball is changed at the center third, the team may proceed to attack immediately.
During the match, the decision of umpires is final and will not be subject to appeal.
For Mixed category, a maximum of 2 male players from each team are allowed on court at any one time. Maximum of 1 male player from each team is allowed within the goal circle at any one time.
